- Bulgaria
is a peaceful country – for over
25 years I traveled different types of journeys - in mountains, along the seaside, bike tours, all
without any troubles or
accidents; For the past 6 years we have been the best guides for bicyclists who want to experience all that
Bulgaria has to offer;
- Bulgarians enjoy visitors from other countries and welcome them; we have many visitors from western Europe and recently from the Americas; the country is 97% Bulgarian Orthodox Christian and we have no religious discord.
- We have sunny summers – with very little rain;
- Our country has different kinds of terrain – mountains, fields, forests, gorges, and valleys;
- The Black Sea is a wonderful seaside;
- There is very little traffic on the roads (except for donkey carts);
- There is great food, perfect red & white wines and many types beer all at reasonable prices;
- There is inexpensive Internet access at almost each point of the country;
- We greet our bicyclist guests at the Sofia airport (regardless of the time of arrival);
- We plan
your
tour details
at
my home, establishing
where
and how you would prefer to travel. This determines if you will self-support, primitive camp, or use van
support and hotel and bed & breakfast. We may choose how
many days of cycling, your ides for the terrain and
mileage, consider the weather,
and all the types of things you prefer. This itinerary
is
tentative, and
can be
changed as we travel as you wish;
- We can create a more structured tour if necessary (see people bicycled with us);
- We provide transportation to the airport in the end of journey, and personally see you off.
- Our cyclist guests will need no more than 10 - 12 EURO daily per person if we use primitive camping;
- Restaurants - a dinner/lunch in a nice restaurant is approx. 6 - 10 EURO;
- Hotels and Bed & Breakfast Inns are available, the prices per bed per night is between 8 - 12 EURO in private home or bungalow, and from 15 - 20 EURO in a better hotel;
- We recommend a combination of a self supported tour with a little help of trains, vans, primitive camping, hotels, bungalows, etc., but decision will be yours!
- Our guide fees are quite modest.
OTHER
- bike tours are possible between 1st April and 20th October;
- the best tour (according to me) lasts 18 - 20 days;
- everyone must have own equipment (bike, little tent, sleeping bag and neoprene rag);
- renting of a bicycle (mountain type - 18 speeds) is possible - 8 EURO/day;
- van supporting - possible under additional agreement;
- arranging the tour is nice to be done to the end of February.
